The Centre for Policy and Enterprise in the Creative Industries

Home

The Centre for Policy and Enterprise in Creative Industries (PECi) was established in 2009  to generate and share knowledge about policy and enterprise in the sector, to build strategic relationships with relevant stakeholders in local and national government and to foster exchanges with international partners involved in creative industries development.

The Centre is presently involved in two major ventures. The first, the Media Industries Knowledge Exchange (MIKE) project, is funded by the Wales Assembly Government. With our partners at Aberystwyth and Swansea Metropolitan universities, we are devising and hosting events and activities that build upon and share academic and industry expertise in media enterprise (and we’ll be blogging about these events as they happen).  The second is the EU-funded Economic Cluster of Cultural Enterprises (ECCE) project, which is being undertaken in collaboration with Cardiff Council and with other partners – including the cities of Nantes, Stuttgart, Aachen, Dublin, Eindhoven and Birmingham – to develop creative synergies between academia and local government across the partnership. Again, we’ll be blogging regularly about the activities of this group.
